About
Kritika Srivastava (29) is an Indian freelance artist currently based in Bangalore, the garden city of India.

She has developed an early passion for art and has been drawing ever since she can hold a pen. Do you remember that one person in class who would always draw instead of paying attention to the teacher? That was Kritika. However, after failing to get into art and design school in her early life, she ended her academic career with a bachelors degree in computer science and engineering and started working for an IT corporation.
Back in 2016 when she started exploring the world on her own she realized her love for travelling and chasing sunsets. The majority of her work is inspired by nature. But the first time she stood in front of the sea overlooking a breathtaking sunset, sky coloured with all the hues of orange, pink, purple ...well, that inspired her to paint those sceneries. She spent every holiday after that capturing stunning sunsets on her phone and drawing inspiration from them. But she is yet to explore other parts of the world.

It was a combination of attempt to create a wave pattern for herself and furnishing her rented apartment walls that inspired her to express her love for beaches in her drawings too. She then started to share her paintings on Instagram back in 2021 and began her journey as a full-time artist.

Meanwhile, drawing waves and beaches into painting all kinds of piece of mind moments she experiences when being at the sea, in a forest or in the mountains. Her passion turned into a love for the sea, outdoor activities and nature in general while her tools switched to paint brushes and watercolours.
